The New City community welcomes all types of people - whether you are single, dating, engaged, newlyweds, or marriage veterans. More than a class on Sunday, this community seeks to daily live out the Gospel within the context of human relationships. We believe that every Christian is a minister and that every Christian is a messenger (2 Corinthians 5: 18-20). This means that Small Groups and Mission opportunities contribute to the sense of community that is a distinctive of this class. The teacher for this class is Paul Goebel.

Our current study is: The Gospel According to Jonah

What makes the Bible distinctively Christian? Christ does. The Bible is the story of Jesus Christ, from start to finish. And yet so many of us struggle to read the Bible, primarily because we struggle with its message. We struggle with its meaning. We struggle with its direct application to our own lives. We struggle with this pervasive question: "What does the Bible have to do with me?" The answer to this question is as simple as it is deep. The Bible is not really about you. The Bible is about Jesus Christ; not only in the New Testament, but in the Old Testament too. Join us this Sunday as we dive into the Old Testament book of Jonah. Considered one of the great prophetical works of the Hebrew Scriptures, we will discover new depths of the Gospel in this ancient book as we search for Christ in the Old Testament. "Behold, something greater than Jonah is here."
