Doulos is the greek word for bond slave that the apostle Paul uses at the beginning of his letter to the church in Rome. Paul deliberately uses that word in Romans 1:1 to catch the attention of his readers, telling them that he willingly held the shackle of slavery to his own neck, the shackle of slavery to his Lord, Jesus Christ.
So many of us today are enslaved to so many things that will do us no good. Our community of believers seeks to know and live by the fact that Jesus came to be a bond-slave for us all. And He now reigns forevermore and calls us to that happy role of being a bond-slave forever.
We are a multi-generational community, welcoming singles, couples and everyone in between. Typical class attendees range from recent college graduates to late 30's professionals. We meet weekly on Sundays at 11:00 am and gather for lunch after each class. Monday through Friday, our group stays active and encourages a strong sense of community through small group Bible Studies, meeting for social activities and teaming-up for various service projects. We welcome visitors and would love to have you join us.
Our current study is in Romans where Paul teaches us what it means that "the just shall live by faith".
Romans - a summary of the entire Bible through Paul's letter to the church in Rome. As we work our way through Romans we will take the opportunity to discuss the big issues in life such as: what does sexual morality mean for believers? Why does evil and suffering exist? How are we redeemed and justified? What about faith and election?
Please join us each Sunday in room 301 at 11:00 am. You may also follow us on facebook at PCPC Young Adults.
